Dr. Joseph B. Greene
Dr. Greene received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double major in Chemistry and Zoology from Miami University in 1968.He received a Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1972. Dr. Greene completed a Rotating 6 Internship at Highland General Hospital in Oakland, CA, in 1973 and completed an Adult Psychiatry Residency with the Alameda County Health Services Agency in 1974. He completed a child psychiatry fellowship at the University of California San Francisco, Langley Porter Neuropsychiatric Institute in 1976.
From 1976 to 1982 Dr. Greene was Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Children's Inpatient Unit at UCSF. From 1982 to 1985 Dr. Greene was Medical Director of the Psychiatric Inpatient Unit at Providence Hospital in Oakland, CA. From 1985 to 1990 Dr. Greene was Adolescent Program Director of CPC Belmont Hills Hospital, Belmont, CA. From 1990 to 1999 Dr. Greene was Medical Director of Adolescent Inpatient and Day Treatment Services at CHOMP. Since 1999 Dr. Greene has been in private outpatient practice and is Medical Director at Monterey Psychiatric Center. Dr. Greene is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Past President of the California Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Past President of the Northern California Regional Organization of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a member of the California Psychiatric Association and the Northern California Psychiatric Society (NCPS) and Past-President of the Central Coast Chapter of NCPS. Dr. Greene is a member of the California Medical Association and Past-President of the Monterey County Medical Society.
